Their struggle for free from societal bondage to find true love is the basic theme of Pardes Mein Mila Koi Apna TV serial.

The serial is based on a struggling life of Nirupma and Chandu. It revolves around a girl who belongs to Gagargadh village, UP. Jagjit looks like a relic out of 70s on the cover. Pardes Mein Mila Koi Apna is set in Mumbai backdrop. The cover of the CD is quite amusing, perhaps second only to the cover on the “Live at Royal Albert Hall” disc. The earliest records have Jagjit straining his voice in a lilting classical style and one can see this change in the later records till we finally come across the Jagjit we know so well. Perhaps the most interesting aspect of the record is the progression in Jagjit’s style that is painfully obvious. This album is a must buy for any serious Jagjit & Chitra fan. This album has the appropriate title, the ghazals compiled here are among the earliest recordings available, and they are certainly Rare Gems. Arjun had recently taken a break from work and went to Goa. He recently shared a black and white selfie on his Instagram profile, wearing a shade and looks handsome in it. Jagjit & Chitra Singh Their Earliest Recordings Television actor Arjun Bijlani is one of those who are not only blessed with acting talent but also great looks. Singers: Minoo Purshottam, Dilraj Kaur & Vinod Sehgal Lyric: Traditional Long-da-Lishkara Music: Jagjit & Chitra Singh There is technical proficiency in the instruments used, but Chitra’s voice overpowers the music. Jagjit has used rather unorthodox musical effects in this one, sounds that are natural more than anything else. The music in Chitra’s voice can leave one immobile. Lori in particular is saturated with emotion. Lyric: Harpal TiwanaThe range of Chitra’s voice is used to good effect in this song, as usual her Punjabi songs seem to be much finer than the Urdu ghazals. This track is perfect, if only for the tone with which Jagjit begins the song. Lyric: Ranjit Rana & Hakim SuffiIf there’s a song by Jagjit that touches you as profoundly within the first 5 seconds, I haven’t heard it. Of course it’s still worth buying if only for the songs from Diva bale saari raat. Only 4 of the ten tracks on this disc are sung by Jagjit (though he has set the music for all ten).

But it has again turned bitter.Ĭommon man – what have they done? I have so many Pakistani friends. I wrote this long back and submitted at a forum calling for friendship between the two countries. Last time few asked me to put down the meaning of difficult words so here are they!!!Īdat nahi Baith ke rehne ki, so chalta gaya Jab khuda ne jannat ko tere pairon ke neeche dabaya hai. Kya aukaat kisi ki ke mamta ka mol laga paye? Lekin tune jo hai gawaaya kab maine woh kamaya hai, Tune jisko khoon se seenchha wo paudha lehraayaa hai,ĭekh maa tera betaa aaj apne paav pad khada hai, Tere balon mein hai safedi aur mere chehre par khushi hai, Teri dua ne ab tak meri zindagi ka deep jalaya hai, Maatha mera choom ke tune rooh ko meri dho dala hai, Phir seene se laga ke tune kyon yeh ashq bahaya hai. Namm-roshan yeh teri aankhein khush hai mujhko chhune se, Sochta hoon ke zindagi ne kaisa tera saath nibhaya hai, Tere chehre ki jhuriyon ko dekh ke aankhein bhar aayi hain, Jaise ujdi basti mein koi phirse rehne aaya hai. Lagta hai bas sukoon ka ab mere sar pe saaya hai,īarson baad dil-e-shorida mein sannata chhaya hai, Itne pyaar se Maa ne maathe ko sehlaaya hai, This is something I wrote long back when Maasa was still with me and I had brought her from the village to stay with me as she was alone there and not keeping well.
